Secretary for Labor and Welfare Sun Yuk-han said that the Hong Kong SAR government is currently implementing a number of talent entry programs to actively recruit talents from different industries and professional backgrounds to come to Hong Kong, including the Hong Kong Quality Talents Entry Scheme, the High-end Talent Pass, the Mainland Talent Admission Scheme, etc.

As of the end of 2023, the Gao Caitong Program received approximately 65,000 applications and approved nearly 51,000 applications. Among them, nearly 2,000 approved applicants graduated from Fudan University, accounting for approximately 4%.

It should be noted that Gao Caitong is only one of many talent programs. Together with other talent programs, there should be more than 2,000 Fudan alumni who applied for Hong Kong status last year.
