According to information on the official website of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, in the 2024/25 academic year, there will be 6 new universities in the mainland recruiting Hong Kong DSE candidates.

The six new universities include Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), Southwest Jiaotong University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, South China Agricultural University, Zhejiang University of Technology and Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences.
