Dental Benefits

The Canada Dental Benefit, the first universal dental benefit plan in the history of the Canadian government, opened for applications on December 1 last year, providing subsidies for children under the age of 12 with a family income of less than $90,000 and who have not purchased a private dental insurance plan.

From July 1, 2023, the application for the second phase of dental subsidies will be officially opened, so that more families and children can enjoy the benefits of dental care.

According to the regulations of the tax bureau, the annual GST/HST tax rebate subsidy will be distributed in 4 quarters. The latest payment was made on July 5 alongside the grocery allowance.

The Inland Revenue Department recommends that within 10 working days after the payment date, if you still have not received the tax refund, you can contact the Inland Revenue Department for inquiries.

Climate Action Incentives

Climate Action Incentive

The Climate Action Incentive Payment (CAIP) is a tax-free amount that helps individuals and households offset the cost of federal pollution pricing. Quarterly CAIP is available to eligible residents of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.

Residents of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island will receive the subsidy starting July 1, 2023.

Additionally, households in rural and small communities receive an additional 10 per cent incentive payment.

The subsidy is distributed in four installments each year, with the most recent payment between July 14 and July 21. It should be noted that the subsidy amount may vary in different provinces.

Senior Worker Benefits

Advanced Workers Benefit

Beginning in July of this year, the Canada Advanced Workers Benefit (ACWB) will replace the Canada Workers Benefit (CWB).

The main purpose of this policy is to provide more support and benefits to low-income workers and their families.

According to the new policy, beneficiaries will receive half of the 2022 [Canada Workers Benefits] appropriation amount in installments over the three quarters of July, October and January. After the 2023 tax return is filed next spring, the remaining amount will be reconciled and settled.

In addition, there are milk gold benefits. Every July, the Milk Benefit is recalculated based on the previous year's adjusted family net income.
