Macao officially announced that the high-tech industry excellent talent plan and senior professional talent plan will start accepting applications from September 1, and the deadline will be December 31.

PART1

Designated areas of expertise

The High-tech Industry Excellent Talents Program aims to introduce those who have professional experience and technical capabilities, can promote the development of high-tech industries, and perform outstandingly in specific professional fields.

At the same time, the high-tech industry senior professional talent plan aims to introduce those who can support the development of high-tech industries and have professional experience and technical capabilities in specific professional fields.

Areas of expertise covered by both programs include:

✔Microelectronic integrated circuit design, research and application development;

✔Information and communication technology research and application development;

✔Artificial intelligence technology research and application development;

✔Engineering technology application development;

✔Innovative materials research and application development;

✔New energy research and application development;

✔Environmental science and technology research and application development;

✔Development of operating system, decoder and underlying software;

✔High-tech teaching and research and scientific research management;

✔Transformation of scientific research results and commercialization of products. chemical and product commerce

PART2

Excellent Talent Plan

After fulfilling the above-specified areas of expertise, applicants must also meet the following requirements

✔ Hold a bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline and have at least four years of work experience in a relevant professional field; or hold a bachelor’s degree or above in another discipline and have at least six years of work experience in a relevant professional field;

✔Age 21 or above;

✔Possess good language expression skills in Chinese, Portuguese or English;

✔According to the scoring standards established by the program, applicants need to score 200 points and above (out of 300 points).

PART3

Senior professional talent plan

Applicants who meet the above designated professional fields must also meet the following conditions

✔ Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in a discipline related to high-tech industry, and have at least two years of work experience in the specified professional field; or have a bachelor's degree or higher in other disciplines, and have at least four years of professional experience in the specified professional field work experience;

✔Age 21 or above;

✔Have good communication skills in Chinese, Portuguese or English;

✔According to the set scoring criteria, you must obtain 150 points out of a total of 300 points;

✔Be hired by a local employer or promise to be hired within 90 days after the residence permit becomes effective;

✔Occupy the in-demand human resources professional positions listed in the plan;

✔When being hired for a professional position, the annual salary level must meet any of the following requirements:

●400,000 MOP;

●360,000 patacas [applicable to a bachelor's degree issued by a designated institution in the scoring table with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.7, or a master's degree with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.8].

The above remuneration is calculated based on the total remuneration before tax for the whole year, regardless of the name of the payment, the form of payment or the calculation method.
