With the adjustment of the epidemic control, the immigration policies of countries around the world have changed, and the international flights to and from China have also been updated. Let's take a look~

The latest entry policies of each country

inside China

Starting from January 8, 2023, people coming to China will undergo nucleic acid testing 48 hours before their departure, and those with negative results can come to China. If the nucleic acid test is positive, the relevant personnel should come to China after turning negative.

Nucleic acid testing and centralized isolation for all staff after entry will be cancelled.

China Hong Kong

Meet the vaccination requirements (not applicable to Hong Kong residents or those arriving from the Mainland, Macau or Taiwan).

People coming to Hong Kong from Macau*, Taiwan or overseas regions must undergo a nucleic acid test within 48 hours before the flight's scheduled departure time (entry from the airport) or scheduled arrival time (entry from other ports), or within 24 hours Rapid antigen test and must obtain a negative result before entering Hong Kong.

People entering Hong Kong from the Mainland must undergo a nucleic acid test 48 hours before travel and obtain a negative result. (Only applicable to arrivals aged 3 or above)

*Relevant persons who have stayed in the Mainland on the day of arrival in Hong Kong or in the previous 7 days must undergo a nucleic acid test within 48 hours before traveling to Hong Kong and obtain a negative result before entering Hong Kong.

Japan

From January 8th, Japanese passengers who have been to mainland China within 7 days, regardless of whether they have a valid vaccination certificate, are required to show a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 72 hours, and need to complete the landing test. Asked to isolate in a designated facility.

South Korea

Starting from January 5, passengers departing from China will be tested for negative PCR results within 48 hours before entering South Korea, and PCR tests will be performed within one day after entry, and confirmed cases will be temporarily quarantined.

Singapore

Children born after January 1, 2010 and all fully vaccinated passengers do not need to undergo nucleic acid testing, and do not need to be quarantined after entering Singapore. For those who have not been vaccinated, take a COVID-19 test within two days before departure.

Malaysia

A nucleic acid PCR negative report within 48 hours before the trip is required, in both Chinese and English, and the report can be electronically printed or paper-based.

Thailand

There is no need for isolation and testing on landing, but you must hold a complete vaccination certificate for the new crown and purchase medical insurance that includes new crown treatment. Tourists will undergo a new crown nucleic acid test before returning home.

United States

From January 5th, a 48-hour nucleic acid certificate must be presented before boarding, and non-immigrants who are not US citizens need to provide proof of vaccination.

Canada

From January 5th, passengers aged two years and above who fly to Canada from mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau must provide a negative certificate for the new crown test. It can be a nucleic acid test or an antigen test, which must be performed within two days of the departure date.

European Union

Starting from January 8, EU countries need to adopt a coordinated approach to deal with the changing situation in China. Chinese tourists entering the EU will need to provide nucleic acid in the future. As for whether to do it again after entering the country, it depends on the situation of each country.

U.K.

From January 5, 2023, people traveling from mainland China to the UK need to provide the results of the new crown test within two days, and children under the age of 11 do not need to provide it. Passengers are required to provide the original test results, which will be checked by the airline. Test results must be in English, French or Spanish.

Spain

Passengers entering Spain from China need to provide a negative nucleic acid test certificate or a complete vaccination certificate.

Italy

Passengers from China aged 6 and above who have tested negative for COVID-19 antigen within 72 hours of arrival, or have tested negative for antigen within 48 hours of arrival. Travelers from China are required to be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival.

France

From January 5th, passengers over the age of 11 must show a negative nucleic acid or antigen test result within 48 hours when boarding the plane. The results presented must be paper or electronic certificates written in French or English, and self-examination is not accepted. Subject to random testing upon arrival in France.

If the test results show that you are infected with the new crown, you will be voluntarily quarantined for 7 days, and will be tested again at the end of the 7-day quarantine.

Germany

From June 2022, entry into Germany does not require proof of vaccination against the new crown, proof of recovery from the new crown or negative proof of the new crown test. However, the entry restrictions on travelers from China to Germany have not been completely lifted, and they are still not allowed to travel to Germany.

Australia

From January 5th, Australia requires a negative nucleic acid PCR report within 48 hours before departure, and a report in Chinese and English is required. The report can be printed or paper.

Maldives

The Maldives implements a visa on arrival for tourists. Chinese citizens who travel to the Maldives can generally obtain a visa on arrival for up to 30 days free of charge.

Currently entering the Maldives does not require testing for the COVID-19 virus.
