On March 12, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a globally renowned higher education institution, released the QS World University Rankings 2025 by Subject. This ranking is regarded as one of the most authoritative lists in the field of global higher education, and is an important reference for students around the world to further their studies.
This year's QS rankings provide a comprehensive assessment of 18,300 academic programs at more than 1,700 universities around the world, ranking them based on a number of key indicators such as academic reputation, employer ratings, and number of citations in papers.
The results show that Hong Kong shines in this year's rankings, with about 68% of the disciplines moving up the rankings, and 6 disciplines even ranked among the top 10 in the world.

This year, City University of Hong Kong has a total of 20 disciplines in the global top 100, four of which are even among the world's top 50, and 12 disciplines ranked in the top three in Hong Kong.

The whole family settles in Hong Kong
In recent years, more and more mainland elites have been going to Hong Kong to pursue master's degrees, not only to enhance their personal capabilities, but also to pave the way for settling down in Hong Kong after graduation through the IANG Scheme (Individual Arrangement for Non-local Graduates to Remain in Hong Kong/Return to Hong Kong for Employment).
